Extra Give Banner
Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning is excited to participate in this year’s Extraordinary Give event, sponsored by the Lancaster County Community foundation and its presenting sponsors.

To make a donation now, please visit our ExtraGive page.

WHO: YOU and Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning in coordination with Lancaster County Community Foundation and its presenting sponsors. LDHL is a non-profit organization that provides zero-interest loans to Lancaster County students looking to achieve their dreams of pursuing higher education. Learn more about our mission and what we do.

WHAT: The Extraordinary Give is Lancaster County’s largest day of giving. It benefits more than 350 organizations, including LDHL. Every dollar given on the day of the ExtraGive will be stretched with at least $300,000 from the Lancaster County Community Foundation, Rodgers & Associates and other corporate sponsors.

WHERE: Anywhere you have access to the Internet, you can make a donation to LDHL. If you’d like to give in person, however, the Give Mobile bus will be making trips all over Lancaster County. Check out where it will be stopping in your neck of the woods.

WHEN: The ExtraGive is a 24-hour marathon of giving that begins on Nov. 20, 2015 at the stroke of midnight and ends at 11:59 p.m. Join us from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Lancaster County Convention Center and Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square for ExtraFest: a FREE live music festival and Extraordinary Give celebration curated by Atomic Design and Shumaker PDT. Seven local and regional bands will participate and help count down the final hours of the 2015 Extraordinary Give.

BeilerWHY: One of the best reasons to donate to LDHL is the permanency it offers its donors. Every donation to LDHL lasts for generations, because when our interest-free loans are repaid, we can then redistribute those repayments to new students in need. But there’s more!  In addition to the ExtraGive stretch pool dollars available to the non-profit participants, Lancaster County businessman Chet Beiler, a former LDHL recipient who is now CEO of Amish Country Gazebos, has generously offered a challenge donation to LDHL of $2,000 that will activate when we receive our 50th donation.

For more information about LDHL and the #ExtraGive event, please contact LDHL Executive Director Ann Womble at 717-397-7920 or email her at ann@lancdollars.org.
