#ThankyouThursday: "I’m incredibly grateful for everything LDHL does to support students. LDHL was especially meaningful to me personally; the interest-free loan helped cover my college expenses, and the manageable monthly repayment made it possible to focus on my education without overwhelming financial stress." ~Trisha B. (University of Pittsburgh) To celebrate LDHL’s 65th anniversary, we’re sharing something truly special—65 stories from current students, alumni, and past loan recipients whose lives have been shaped by interest-free student loans. Each story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together to invest in education and opportunity. 💙 Follow along as we highlight these inspiring journeys—and see the lasting impact of 65 years in action. #SuccessStory: "I just graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree! I double majored in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and I'm currently in California working at NVIDIA as a Formal Verification Engineer. I'm still fairly new to the company, but I really enjoy the culture so far and am very grateful for all the opportunities that made it possible!" ~Carson B. (Duke University) #MentorMonday: "Don’t be too narrow early on. Take opportunities that help you gain experience, build relationships, and grow. Your first role doesn’t have to be your forever role." ~Nathan L. (Elon University) #LaborDay2026 Meghan Farling is the recipient of the Dr. Emmett Cooper Legacy Loan. Meghan graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2023. She is attending York College of PA, majoring in nursing. In high school, Meghan was involved at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (nursing, fire, EMS, and law), had an EMS internship, participated in Skills USA (crime scene investigation, placed 1st in districts), and took vocal lessons. Her best trait is kindness. Meghan’s greatest achievements are beating cancer and getting accepted into nursing school. With a degree in nursing, Meghan wants to serve others the way they served her through her cancer journey.
