#MentorMonday: "Advice that I have for current college students, make sure that you get the most out of your time in college and try to talk to as many people as you can in the field you are studying. Raafat Alabdullah is the recipient of the Elwood Bookman Estate Legacy Loan. Raafat graduated from McCaskey High School in 2025. He is attending Millersville University and has not yet decided on a major. During high school, Raafat was involved in the coding program and the soccer team and participated in the Mosque. His greatest achievement is graduating from high school despite facing numerous challenges. Rafaat is determined and keeps pushing forward no matter what. He only came to the US a few years ago, learned English quickly, and still graduated with a 4.02 GPA. Raafat's life goal is to attend college to earn a degree that will open doors to new opportunities and build a better life.

Finn Grinnell is the recipient of the Binns Legacy Loan. Finn graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2025. He is attending Washington & Jefferson College, majoring in chemistry. In high school, Finn worked at Masonic Villages and did community service with the Elizabethtown Rotary. His best personal trait is being good at being optimistic and looking at the bright side of everything. Finn’s life goal is to earn a degree in chemistry and have a career in making improvements in medicine.
