Our mission is to provide financial resources to Lancaster County residents in support of their post-secondary educational goals. Thank you Pequea Valley for inviting us to share information about our interest-free student loans at your financial aid night! To celebrate LDHL’s 65th anniversary, we’re sharing something truly special—65 stories from current students, alumni, and past loan recipients whose lives have been shaped by interest-free student loans. Each story reminds us what’s possible when a community comes together to invest in education and opportunity. 💙 Follow along as we highlight these inspiring journeys—and see the lasting impact of 65 years in action. Join us in helping to keep our streets beautiful! We'll meet in front of Liberty Place to clean the sidewalk areas on Liberty Street between Harrisburg Pike and Queen Street. Gloves and bags are available. Wade Culp received the Edith Smith Truxal Legacy Loan. Wade graduated from Warwick High School in 2025. He is attending Millersville University, majoring in geography. In high school, Wade was involved in Warwick Bible Study, LCBC Church, and was a camp counselor at Greenview Bible Camp. His greatest achievement was volunteering for 11 weeks in Sri Lanka in 2024. Wade taught English to elementary students, did hands-on construction work, and helped with sea turtle conservation. His love of maps will help him earn his degree and pursue a career in urban planning. #ThankyouThursday: "I’m incredibly grateful for everything LDHL does to support students. LDHL was especially meaningful to me personally; the interest-free loan helped cover my college expenses, and the manageable monthly repayment made it possible to focus on my education without overwhelming financial stress." ~Trisha B.
