🍎 Happy teacher appreciation week to all the teachers and students working to become teachers! Here are some of our graduates and students studying education. Ella Trimble is the recipient of the Catherine N. Witmer Memorial Legacy Loan. Ella graduated from Solanco High School in 2025. She is attending Indiana University of PA, majoring in actuarial science and statistics. In high school, Ella was involved in National Honor Society, International Thespian Society, marching & concert band, softball, and theater. Her intelligence has always put her ahead; for example, she skipped 6th-grade math. With her family's support, she was able to show pigs at the Solanco Fair for 5 years. Her life goal is to become an actuary and use her math skills in her career. 📣 TODAY’S THE DAY! Interest-free student loan applications (2026–27) are due by midnight. 💡 We don’t want you to miss this! The deadline to apply for an interest-free student loan for 2026–27 is tomorrow, April 30. Our mission is to provide financial resources to Lancaster County residents in support of their post-secondary educational goals. Since 1961, we have provided more than $21 million in interest-free loans! #MentorMonday: "While you learn through classes, pay attention to *how* you learn; the working world will involve continuous learning, especially in technology, so practice prompting generative AI, vetting Google search results, and digging beneath the surface of the answers you get." ~Josiah F.
